Boys Icahn Stadium DMR record broken
April 5, 2009 - On a very blistery day Icahn Stadium welcomed a very energetic and highly attended Kings Relays.  With teams visiting from surrounding states the action got underway early with the host school Boy's and Girl's High taking the girl's team title beating Trenton High of New Jersey by a convincing 23 points.  During their assault on championships they were able to put together an amazing five winning relay teams out of the eights relays run during the day.

On the flip the side the boys team championship went down to the wire with the 4 X 400m relay deciding the faith of the team trophy.  After Randolph High School was only able to manage a fifth place finish in the 4 X 400m relay they were edged by Boys and Girls High School for the championship by only one and a half point to complete the sweep for the host school.  While winning the championships two sets of relay teams took home gold medals for Boys and Girls, the freshman/sophomore 1600m Relay and the Varsity SMR.  Another outstanding moment during the event came when Half Hallows DMR team set a new stadium record running 10:52.75 taking the record from Kellenberg set at the 2007 CHSAA Relays.
